Saint David's Cathedral WIP

Works progresses slowly on Saint David's Cathedral. It's quite a big drawing for pen and ink: 21 inches x 16 inches.

As the drawing is taped down horizontally, on my large drawing board, it is difficult to photograph so I stood on a high stool.

I thought I should post something to prove I am working. Truth is I'm being slowed down by my heart which is messing around again.

The ceiling I'm leaving to last as it is what the drawing is all about.

    1. I find the photographing the hardest part of the whole procedure, Hilda. It seems ages since I used pen & ink.

  2. John, this is a HUGE project!!! I could just see you, perched on a ladder, taking photos of this beauty. Please be careful. And do take care of yourself. I know I sound like a mother, but I mean it.
    A big hug for you

  3. Bless you, Kathryn, thank you. Yes it is a big drawing, mind you, when they're finished they seem to shrink,

    1. I've been OK for the 17 years since they fixed my heart. Reckon it could do with a little more work on it.

  9. I'm sorry to hear you are not your usual self John. I hope you feel much better really soon. Meanwhile, although it's affection your rate of production, it's certainly not affecting the quality. Superb is an understatement and that's before it's even complete! :0)
